Nevada Congresswoman and candidate for U.S. Senate Jacky Rosen’s campaign launched a new 30-second television ad today underscoring Sen. Dean Heller’s diagnosis as a spineless politician who caved under pressure to his party’s toxic agenda and broke his promise to protect Nevadans’ health care. “Doctor” details Heller’s spineless flip from last year, when he voted to dismantle the Affordable Care Act and signed on to radical repeal legislation that would weaken protections for pre-existing conditions and increase costs for many older Americans. The ad will begin airing tomorrow statewide.
“The diagnosis is in: Senator Heller is a spineless politician who bends with the political winds because he’s only looking out for himself,” said Rosen for Nevada campaign manager Danny Kazin. “Jacky Rosen has the backbone to fight for Nevadans’ health care, and Senator Heller has proven that he doesn’t have the spine to stand up to his party and do his job.”
Jacky knows our health care system has real problems that Congress needs to work together to fix. That’s why she’s focusing on smart solutions that will help lower premiums, stabilize health care markets, reduce prescription drug costs, address Nevada’s doctor shortages, protect coverage for pre-existing conditions, and expand health insurance options for Nevadans.
Jacky Rosen: “I’m Jacky Rosen, and I approve this message.”
Doctor: “Senator Heller, we’ve found the problem: You have no spine. I mean literally, no spine. First, you promised to vote against the plan to repeal Obamacare. Then, a little pressure from your party…”
President Trump: “You weren’t there. But you’re gonna be, you’re gonna be.”
Doctor: “You broke your promise and voted for repeal, supported jacking up rates on older people, even taking away protections for pre-existing conditions. Senator Heller, stay away from Washington, okay?”
