Nevada Congresswoman and candidate for U.S. Senate Jacky Rosen attended a roundtable conversation today at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas hosted by former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and Captain Mark Kelly to hear from survivors and student activists about the importance of addressing the nation’s gun violence epidemic.
Congresswoman Giffords and Captain Kelly are co-founders of Giffords, a leading organization in the growing movement to save lives by reducing gun violence. In Congress, Jacky Rosen has built a strong record of supporting commonsense gun safety legislation that would improve public safety and help save lives while respecting the rights of responsible gun owners.
“It was incredibly moving to hear from these survivors about their personal experiences and how their lives have been affected by gun violence,” said Rosen. “I was honored to be invited to join Congresswoman Giffords and Captain Kelly for this roundtable discussion about how we can combat this senseless violence, and I will continue to work toward a safer Nevada by advocating for sensible gun safety legislation.”
