The National Latino Peace Officers Association Southern Nevada Chapter announced today that it has endorsed Senator Jacky Rosen’s reelection campaign. The Southern Nevada chapter of the Latino Peace Officers works to improve the relationship between Nevada’s Latino communities and local law enforcement and reduce juvenile delinquency by addressing issues in the criminal justice system.
”Nevada law enforcement officers put their lives on the line every day to keep our communities safe, and I will always fight to make sure they have the resources and support needed to do their jobs safely and effectively,” said Senator Jacky Rosen. “I’m honored to have the support of the National Latino Peace Officers Association Southern Nevada Chapter as I continue working in a bipartisan way to stand up for Nevada’s law enforcement officers.”
“Jacky Rosen knows that supporting law enforcement is critical to protecting all Nevada communities, and as our Senator, she’s worked across the aisle to deliver critical resources for our men and women in uniform,” said Raphael Gil, Chapter President. “We are proud to endorse Senator Rosen for another term so she can keep being an effective advocate for Nevada law enforcement.”
Rosen’s record includes securing millions of dollars in federal funding for Nevada police departments, breaking with party leaders to oppose policies that would weaken the power of law enforcement officers to respond to crime, helping pass a new bipartisan law boosting efforts to recruit and retain more officers, and supporting numerous bills to increase border security and tackle the deadly fentanyl crisis.
Rosen has also been endorsed by the Nevada Association of Public Safety Officers and the Nevada Law Enforcement Coalition because of her strong record of standing up for the needs of local law enforcement.
