Today, on the 89th anniversary of Social Security being signed into law, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen’s campaign released a new TV and digital ad, “Depend,” spotlighting Sam Brown’s record of supporting extreme MAGA plans to force massive cuts to Social Security and Medicare and threaten to phase out these vital programs entirely.

“Nevadans spend their entire lives working hard and paying into Social Security and Medicare, but MAGA extremist Sam Brown wants to gut these vital programs that Nevadans depend on,” said Johanna Warshaw, Rosen for Nevada spokesperson. “Senator Jacky Rosen knows how important Social Security and Medicare are for Nevadans, and she will always stand up against MAGA extremists like Sam Brown who want to put these hard-earned benefits on the chopping block.”
Last cycle, Sam Brown said he admired a far-right plan that would phase out Social Security and Medicare in five years – calling it a “roadmap for a better America.” Brown has also touted support for a Republican balanced budget amendment, which would force the government to make massive cuts to federal spending, including Social Security and Medicare. Brown has also publicly called for “painful” cuts to federal spending that would force devastating cuts to Social Security and Medicare benefits.
