Rosen Campaign Launches New Ad Highlighting Bipartisan Work to Expand Job Training Opportunities

New ad touts Rosen’s efforts to expand job training and apprenticeship programs to help Nevadans get the skills needed for good paying jobs

U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen’s campaign released a new TV and digital ad this week, “A Good Job” highlighting Rosen’s bipartisan work to expand job training and apprenticeship programs so every Nevadan can get the skills they need to succeed — even if they don’t go to college or decide to change careers.

WATCH:

“Good-paying jobs should not require a four-year degree, and that’s why Jacky Rosen has been working to deliver more investments in apprenticeships and job training,” said Johanna Warshaw, Rosen for Nevada spokesperson. “Jacky has a proven record of working with Republicans and Democrats to expand opportunities for vocational education and technical training programs, so that all Nevadans can get the tools and skills they need to build a good life.”

In the Senate, Rosen has consistently worked to expand job training and apprenticeship opportunities. She introduced the bipartisan STEM RESTART Act to help mid-career workers transition into STEM jobs, and she supports bipartisan efforts to increase investment in job training programs like the Jumpstart Our Business by Supporting Students Act.

Rosen also helped write and pass the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which included more than $800 million for workforce development. She has championed legislation establishing grant programs to expand apprenticeship programs, and she has secured $800,000 in federal funding to support the Southern Nevada Workforce Connections’ Development Program. This year, Rosen has introduced bills to fund workforce training courses at community colleges for in-demand jobs like manufacturing and IT, and to bolster the number of skilled housing construction workers.

Transcript:

I know from my own life the difference a good job can make – a job with benefits, a  job that gives you dignity, that you can take care of your family.

So I’m working with Republicans and Democrats to bring more job training and apprenticeships so people can get the skills they need for a good job even if you don’t go to college.

We have to put partisan politics aside because people’s families are on the line – and make sure that every Nevadan has the tools that they need to build a good life.

I’m Jacky Rosen and I approve this message.
