Today, during National Police Week, Senator Jacky Rosen announced endorsements from the Nevada Association of Public Safety Officers (NAPSO) and the Nevada Law Enforcement Coalition (NLEC) in support of her reelection campaign.
NAPSO and NLEC represent 19 law enforcement and public safety unions in Nevada. These or
ganizations represent thousands of police officers, deputies, corrections officers, state law enforcement officers, juvenile and adult probation and parole officers as well as law enforcement civilian employees.
During a press conference this afternoon, Senator Rosen joined NAPSO and NLEC leadership to highlight herrecord of supporting Nevada law enforcement, which includes securing millions of dollars in federal funding for Nevada police departments, breaking party lines to oppose policies that would weaken the power of law enforcement officers to respond to crime, helping law enforcement agencies recruit and retain officers, and supporting numerous bills to tackle the deadly fentanyl crisis.
“Jacky Rosen knows the importance of public safety, and that’s why she has stood with us time and time again to support Nevada law enforcement,” said Andrew Regenbaum, Executive Director of the Nevada Association of Public Safety Officers. “In the Senate, Jacky has worked with both parties to help our police departments be able to recruit and retain more officers, increase access to mental health support, and get the life-saving technology and training we need to protect our communities. We are proud to endorse Jacky’s reelection because we know she understands the issues that matter to the law enforcement community and gets things done for us in Washington.”
