Obama and Biden Endorse Jacky Rosen for Congress in Southern Nevada

Henderson, Nev. — Today, Barack Obama and Joe Biden announced their endorsement of Henderson community leader Jacky Rosen in her campaign for Nevada’s 3rd Congressional District.

Barack Obama released the following statement:

“I’m proud to endorse Jacky Rosen for the United States House of Representatives. Over the last eight years, we’ve made tremendous strides towards getting our country back on track, but it’s clear that to continue this progress, we need to send more thoughtful, commonsense leaders like Jacky to Congress to get real results for middle class families. As your next Congresswoman, I know Jacky won’t be afraid to take on the tough fights, like defending a woman’s right to make her own healthcare decisions, protecting Social Security and Medicare for seniors, keeping our sacred promises to veterans, and addressing the crushing burden of student loan debt felt by so many Nevada students. Jacky is the kind of tough and smart leader who will build on all we’ve accomplished and take our nation forward, and that’s why I know Nevadans can count on Jacky.”

Joe Biden released the following statement:

“We could use community leaders like Jacky Rosen in Congress who are willing to put aside partisan bickering, listen to all sides and actually solve problems. Jacky knows what it takes to cut through red tape and bring people together to find common sense solutions on issues that are so important to families across this district. In Congress, I know that Jacky will not only be a fighter for Southern Nevada, but a consensus builder who will bring back dialogue to Washington. Jacky will take on the important challenges facing Nevada, working to pass bipartisan immigration reform, keep America safe and secure, create good-paying clean energy jobs, and guard our promises to seniors and veterans. Jacky will ensure that Nevadans who work hard and play by the rules won’t be forgotten in Washington.”
