Henderson, Nev. – Today, Henderson community leader Jacky Rosen’s campaign for Congress released the results of a new poll finding her with a 7-point lead over her self-proclaimed “Tea Party radical” opponent Danny Tarkanian in a head-to-head matchup. The poll shows Rosen with 44% support and Tarkanian with 37% support, a 12-point gain for Rosen since July. Read the full memo from Global StrategyGroup here.
“This poll confirms that as voters learn more about Jacky Rosen’s commonsense community leadership and Danny Tarkanian’s ethical baggage and out-of-touch views, the choice is clear,” said Rosen campaign manager David Furr.
Tarkanian started the general election disliked and has only grown more unpopular as voters learn more about his ethical baggage and extreme positions. While Rosen is less well-known than Tarkanian, voters are becoming more familiar with and view her more positively. The campaign is continuing to run a positive ad, “Solutions,” that highlights Rosen’s background as a computer programmer, her community leadership, and her work to lead a major solar installation in Henderson.
Global Strategy Group conducted this live telephone survey of 403 likely November 2016 voters in Nevada’s 3rd Congressional District, October 13-16. The margin of error is +/-4.9%.
