Henderson, Nev. – Today, Henderson community leader Jacky Rosen’s campaign for Nevada’s 3rd Congressional District announced that she raised more than $374,000 for the FEC’s Quarter 2 filing period from the beginning of April through the end of June. Rosen’s campaign will also report having more than $232,000 cash on hand. In a show of grassroots support, more than 72 percent of donations to Jacky’s campaign during this period were $100 or less.
“Jacky’s campaign to represent Southern Nevada in Congress is resonating, and it’s clear she will have the resources to win this seat in November,” said David Furr, Campaign Manager for Rosen for Nevada. “As a political outsider and a results-oriented community leader, Jacky understands the frustration Nevadans feel towards Congress and will fight for solutions that make a difference in people’s lives. While her opponent Danny Tarkanian ties himself to Donald Trump’s reckless agenda, Jacky will work across the aisle to break the gridlock in Washington so we can finally raise incomes for working families, make college more affordable, and strengthen Social Security and Medicare.”
Nevada’s 3rd Congressional District, which President Obama won in 2008 and 2012, now has a growing voter registration advantage for Democrats, with 5,204 more registered Democrats than Republicans. This competitive open seat covers Southern Nevada, including portions of Las Vegas and Henderson. A recent poll shows Jacky leading her ultra-conservative opponent by six points, 40 percent to 34 percent.
