Henderson, Nev. – Last week, Henderson community leader Jacky Rosen sat down with Politics NOW on KLAS Las Vegas to discuss her campaign for Nevada’s 3rd Congressional District, where she stands on issues like Social Security and immigration reform, and her opposition to bad trade deals. Meanwhile, self-proclaimed Tea Party radical Danny Tarkanian has been in hiding, only doing interviews on conservative talk radio.
Last week, Rosen released her first television ad, “Solutions,” highlighting Rosen’s background as a computer programmer, her community leadership as President of her local synagogue, and her work to lead a major solar installation in Henderson.
A new poll released Friday showed Rosen leading her extreme opponent Danny Tarkanian by 7 points in a head-to-head matchup. Democrats hold a growing voter registration advantage in Nevada’s competitive open 3rd Congressional District, which President Obama won in 2008 and 2012. The district covers Southern Nevada, including portions of Las Vegas and Henderson.
