Congresswoman-Elect Jacky Rosen Urges Congress to Extend Iran Sanctions Act

Henderson, Nev. – Today, Congresswoman-elect Jacky Rosen released the following statement on the Iran Sanctions Act, bipartisan legislation that is set to expire at the end of 2016:

“With this deadline looming, I believe Congress must move quickly to extend the Iran Sanctions Act to ensure that tough sanctions remain on the table and will immediately snap back into place if Iran breaches the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action in any way, shape or form. If we truly stand with Israel as our most important ally in the Middle East, we cannot allow the threat of these tough sanctions to disappear at the end of the year. I hope that Congress will approve this extension of sanctions and ensure that Iran knows we are watching closely for any potential violations of this agreement.”
